  • Provide a link to the current doctoral programme and the name of a contact person from the sending institution
  • Before an application as an exchange student at the KUG in Mobilty-Online is possible, it must be determined whether the acceptance by an artistic supervisor for the "Privatissimum Dr.artium (KE)" is likely and whether the acceptance from a scientific supervisor for the "colloquium for doctoral students" is also expected.
  • The Dr.artium programme in Graz assumes a close dynamic between artistic exploration/ experimentation/reflection through artistic action and intellectual and scientific reflection and research methods. It goes beyond "practice as research"; the theoretical part is accordingly demanding.

Recommended language skills

The language of instruction in group courses is German - at least Level B1 is expected, but it is possible to receive advice and guidance in English. For attending courses in music theory, music history, music education or other courses where oral explanations are essential, good German knowledge is required (level B2).
In research projects and in One-to-One-lessons the language will be agreed upon by between teachers and students.
